This Pilot Course is being offered at a reduced fee of $150 to all NAECP Members and Associates. The Peer-based Development Team would like you to participate in providing feedback and critical analysis of this newly developed program. A certificate will be issued to participants that complete the Pilot Course.

This highly anticipated course is directed at professionals new to Employee Concerns but is open to Employee Concern Professionals at all levels.

This course attendance is limited to 25 people.



Specific Learning Objectives
Demonstrated through end of course practical exam. As a result of this training, the participants will:

  • Understand the history and evolution of Employee Concerns/Whistleblower Protection programs.
  • Become familiar with applicable language for labor, privacy, and employment laws that may come into play when dealing with employee issues.
  • Gain an overview of the key elements of an Employee Concerns Program, to include essential documents and recommended organization structure, reporting chain, budget, etc.
  • Functional Responsibilities: what is it that ECP does – and does not do.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities – overview of what skills and abilities are needed to process day-to-day tasks: concern intake, confidentiality, classification, interviewing, investigating, reporting, and interface with other organizations and regulatory groups. May provide insight into additional focused training needed.
  • Communication tools and tactics: ECP mission, marketing the program to various levels of the organization, communicating with the regulator, training topics, reporting obligations and processes.
  • Data collection, analysis, and display of internal (process) and external (performance) metrics.
